It's that time of year, starting to think about Trophy Kokanee on Lake Roosevelt. The fishing has been for the most part (not always, it's fishing not catching) pretty good. The Kokanee here have been know to reach 6lbs. The action can be fun with big Rainbow Trout to keep us busy while we are on the hunt for Kokanee. I fish these monsters starting in January and fish them till April-May depending. This fishery is kinda unique because we fish the top 20 ft of the water column, in a lake that reaches depths over 250ft. That means we use planer boards, long lines, and down riggers all at the same time. If you haven't experienced this fishery you have been missing out.

Washington Guide Services fishes all Cousins rods. We where one of the first people to fish the new line of Kokanee rods. The construction and durability of the KC 801-TG Kokanee rod will make your day fun! KC 801 is a one piece with a line weight of 6-12lbs. Being a one piece rod it has amazing feel all the way to your hand/arm. The 801 is soft enough for kokanee with no need to run a Snubbers but has enough power to stand up to trophy Kokanee from Lake Roosevelt. This rod is constructed of composit graphite/fiberglass which makes this rod great for downrigger's or for the leaded line fisher person. All cousins rods have an industry leading warranty, Lifetime warranty against workmanship and defects no cost other than shipping . Damaged rods they will repair or replace at a reasonable cost.
This is my favorite Kokanee rod. Contact your local dealer and check the new rod out, you won't be wasting your time!!

WGS would like to thank Kokabow Fishing Tackle llc for all their support this year. Alan Greenhalgh has keep me supplied with Kokabow gear all year. Since we start using Alan's gear we haven't had to experiment with anything else (we haven't had time to experiment). Kokabow has a great assortment of dodgers, inline trolls, spinners, hootchie spinners and more. Alan has come up with some amazing color Schemes and patterns. If you are a Kokanee fisher person and you don't have any Kokabow in your Tackle box, look up your local retailers or visit www.kokabowtackle.com. You will not be disappointed. Please contact me if you have any questions.
I have included a link right here on the website to Kokabow website. Just goto the home page and click on the Kokabow logo!!
